In August of 2003 I decided enough was enough. No more eating bagels and doughnuts every morning for breakfast, burgers and burritos for lunch everyday and pizza and pasta every night for dinner. This is what I was eating at the time -- with absolutely NO exercise! It was not until I met Pat Murphy that this all changed. I first met Pat when he came into my place of work to give a quick seminar on core training and nutrition. Having been through this type of sales 'hype' before, I was skeptical at first. After about 30 minutes though, I could tell he was the real deal - that he truly cares in helping people, people like me who needed it and feel trapped.

My training with Pat started in September of that year. At the time I weighed 262 pounds and had 38% body fat. Between the training sessions with him, starting a food journal (which I highly recommend) and staying on top of my cardio workouts, I lost 60 pounds and 12% of body fat in one year's time. Pat kept me motivated through positive reinforcement and showing me results through his training methods. Today, I weigh 189 and have 19% body fat! Although I still have a little further to meet my ultimate goal (175lbs. 15% body fat), I have no doubt Pat will get me there. He has completely changed my life. Thanks Pat.

"As an "over-40" Mom-to-be, working out with Patrick was critical! I dreaded gaining the pregnancy pounds because at my age, they don't melt off! Patrick saved me. We trained through my 37th week and picked up again when my son was 10-weeks old. I gained an appropriate pregnancy weight for me, 35 pounds, and after my son was born, the remaining weight just came off. Women half my age were gaining lots more and not losing it. Everyone asked me how I was staying fit. The answer is Patrick Murphy. He incorporates a "whole body" approach that combines weight training, nutrition and cardio hours and BELIEVE ME, I don't have time for any of it. Patrick has given me more constructive help in the last year and a half than all the tae bo, spinning, power yoga and aerobics teachers combined! He makes training fun, he leads by example (look at him!) and he has a contagious "you-can-do-it" attitude. He is, hands down, BEST IN CLASS."

I am 61 years old. I had never belonged to a Club before. In fact, I had not been involved in a regular exercise program for a long time. I tore my rotator cuff and had surgery. I went through four months of rehabilitation, and found it so beneficial that I decided to join a Club. I worked out initially on my own. I asked a private trainer, Patrick Murphy, to help me with a few exercises, which he did. However, working out on my own was not benefiting me as much as I wanted. I was encouraged by my son to get a private trainer to develop an effective program for me. I went to Pat, which turned out to be a very wise choice. I advised Pat that I had polio as a child, which had left me with muscle weakness, particularly in my legs. On his own initiative, he checked out the Web for articles relating to special considerations regarding polio victims, found an article on it, gave it to me, and we discussed it. I was very impressed with his initiative and interest. I have been even more impressed with the program of exercise, cardio, and diet that he has developed for me. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in a very long time. He has been very encouraging, and continually introduces me to new exercises. There has been a very noticeable improvement in my overall well being. I have lost weight and built muscles. He has been a tremendous help in getting me to be enthusiastic about my training, and I am seeing results. He is very easy to talk to, and I consider him a friend. I consider myself very lucky to have him as my private trainer.
